The University of Dodoma (UDOM) is one of Tanzania’s largest and fastest-growing universities, established in March 2007. Located about 8 km east of Dodoma city centre in the Chimwaga area, UDOM sits on an expansive 6,000-hectare site. Structure and Faculties
UDOM is structured into several colleges, schools, and institutes, offering various academic programmes. These are:
1. College of Earth Sciences and Engineering
This college focuses on areas such as Petroleum Engineering, Mining Engineering, Applied Geology, Hydrogeology, Metallurgy and Mineral Processing, Renewable Energy Engineering, and Environmental and Chemical Engineering.
2. College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences

6. College of Business and Economics & School of Law
Here you’ll find programmes in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Hospitality, International Business, and Procurement. The School of Law offers an LLB degree.
7. College of Health and Allied Sciences
This college provides training in Medicine (MD), Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Clinical Nutrition, and Public Health. It also offers various postgraduate specialisations in medical and health sciences.
